Press release - The very first Riccoboni Holding the environment at play “ragazze in goool” trophy

 

Predosa (AL) 14 June 2026 – Ovadese Women beat ASD Speranza from Savona 2-1 in the final of the very first “Ragazze in Goool! – Riccoboni Holding Trophy for the Environment”.

Head-to-head matches took place in the morning to get through to the final in the afternoon at the new “A. Fortunato M. Romano” Municipal Sports Ground in Predosa, featuring three top women’s football clubs from north-west Italy: Ovadese Women (Piedmont), ASD Praese (Genova Prà, Liguria) and ASD Speranza (Savona, Liguria).

The event was organised by Ovadese Women working closely with Riccoboni Holding – the leading group in the environmental management and eco-sustainability sector – with backing from the Municipality of Predosa featuring an innovative format combining great women’s football and ecological education.

Every dribble and every goal were a step further towards a more inclusive society, hammering home the event’s slogan: “Kick prejudice out: football is for everyone and talent has no gender”.

“The really special thing about the Riccoboni Holding Trophy lies in its excellent green footprint”, explained Ilaria Riccoboni, Riccoboni Holding’s Communications Manager. “All day long, the sports centre will be turned into an outdoor workshop. While the matches take place, there will be games, interactive activities and meetings about the circular economy and protecting the environment, designed to raise awareness among spectators and athletes about the importance of everyday sustainability”.
